Inspired by the fairground game ‘Ring the Bell, Test of Strength’ this alarm clock must be hit to set the snooze time.The harder you hit it the longer snooze time you get. This design is not only interactive but also empathetic, be careful how hard you hit it because if it’s too hard it won't let you sleep!
The project emerged as a reaction to technology’s lack of continuity between input and outcome as well as the poor level of feedback it often provides. It creates a metaphor that instils a sense of physicality into this digital technology.
